A monograph “Cranberries in the south of Sakhalin Island” was published at the Institute of Marine Geology and Geophysics of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The monograph presents the results of field research since 2001 - the identification of morphological features, features of phenology, accounting for the yield of cranberry marsh growing on the berries of the south of Sakhalin with varying degrees of human pressure. The nutritional and medicinal value is highlighted, information on the role of a number of substances contained in cranberries is given. Separately, the results of the introduction and introduction to the culture of cranberry large-fruited in the south of the island. Recommendations were developed and the most promising varieties were selected for cultivating large-fruited cranberries in production and in home gardens.
